Larry Kelley's perspective on life shifted profoundly in the wake of 9/11. The morning after the attacks, a sobering realization struck him during his commute: World War III had begun.

Driven by the same urgent questions shared by millions of Americans, he sought to understand the identities of the attackers, how ordinary citizens could contribute to the defense of the nation, and what measures could be taken to thwart future plots.
