Just in case you were laboring under the delusion that the Democrat Party will be a legitimate partner in these negotiations aimed at avoiding national bankruptcy, consider that Senator Dick Durbin, Democrat from Illinois actually said:
“Social Security is off the table because it doesn’t contribute a dime to the debt.”
Are we to believe that the senator from Illinois, representing one of those states Forbes describes as in a “death spiral,” representing Chicago, the murder capital of the US, didn’t know that, according to its Trustees Report, the unfunded liability of Social Security is $20.5 trillion?
Regardless of whether he was ignorant or lying, he should be impeached for gross malfeasance. But this won’t happen because over half our government, the elected officials on the left, are unaccountable to the voters and above the law.

Darryl, it has nothing to do with Rush, or any other commentator for that matter. Focus on what matters! The debt will crush us all, democrats, republicans, independents, everyone! Progressives are the problem, not democrats or republicans. A year ago they argued over the debt limit, raised it, and now we’re maxed out again! If you cant wrap your brain around how dangerous that is, you don’t belong in the conversation. All that matters is the truth, and the truth is, the country is on a path to self destruction.
“Dirty Dick” Durbin is from a small town, Carlinville, where my parents owned a small motel for 20 years. He was a former aide to Senator Paul Simon, who I think was a good-hearted liberal. Durbin is NOT a good-hearted liberal…he’s a hard-Left Creep. I wish EVERYONE would start referring to him as Senator Dirty Dick Durbin. He is a leader in destroying this country.
