With the US election over, what will the Mullahs running Iran do now? What will be their response to Israel’s bombardment of their military targets? If Iran attacks Israel directly, it is an unspoken truth—when the Israelis take out the nuclear sites from the world’s leading sponsor of terror, they will provide a gift to all humanity.
Readers of this column know its primary focus is the freedom movements which are gaining momentum inside our mortal enemies, China, Russia, Iran and its proxies. We proceed from the assumption—regimes run by thuggish dictators are always the enemies of their own people and as such, have a way of being short-lived. The Iranian people who hate the dictatorial rule of the mullahs and the Israelis fighting a multi-front war are our allies. They are brothers in arms, who fight with those of us who wish to preserve freedom abroad and at home.
Thirteen months ago, on Oct. 7, Hamas terrorists invaded Israel, slaughtering men, women, children, babies, raping, torturing, dragging civilians into Gaza and holding them hostage in an elaborate subterranean fortress built with help from Iran.
One day later, on Oct. 8, Hezbollah began firing missiles from Lebanon at Israel’s northern territories, destroying villages and farms, setting fire to forests, killing children, forcing tens of thousands of Israelis to leave their homes.
Israel is still at war with Hamas, the Houthis, Hezbollah, Shiite militias inside Iraq and Syria, and Iran itself. Every man woman and child inside its borders is threatened. The Mullahs’ war plan is to wipe Israel off the map or to make life so terrible that the Jews will abandon their homeland. But the good news—Iran is losing.
Their Pagers Exploded!
Israel is fighting with vengeance and to great effect. In an unprecedented operation mounted by its Mossad spy agency, thousands of pagers detonated across Lebanon, killing nine Hezbollah operatives and wounding nearly 3,000 others, including Iran’s envoy to Beirut.
Two weeks later, Hezbollah, Iran’s terrorist proxy, confirmed on September 28 that its leader, Hassan Nasrallah, was killed in an Israeli strike on Beirut. Others killed with Nasrallah were a senior commander, Ali Karaki and an Iranian General, Abbas Nilforushan, a commander of Iran’s elite Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) responsible for hundreds of American soldiers killed or wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The October 7 Mastermind Killed
Near the one-year anniversary of the October 7, the mastermind of the attack and Israel’s most wanted man, Yahya Sinwar, was killed in a chance encounter, during a street fight in the southern Gazan city of Rafah.
An important note to Sinwar’s elimination is that he had been tracked by the Israelis with help of US intelligence services. This combined with American anti-missile defenses used to defeat the Iranian missile attack of the Israeli homeland, are just two examples of how the US is now directly involved in the war against Iran and its proxies.
What Can Hold Israel Back?
Two years have passed since the murder of Jina (“Mahsa”) Amini, a young Kurdish-Iranian woman, Iran’s morality police. Amini was killed in prison for improperly wearing her hijab, or head-covering. Her death sparked the “Women, Life, Freedom” movement in waves of protests by millions of ordinary Iranians seeking regime change.
Iran has not only set the Middle East on fire, it continues to plot terror attacks on the U.S. homeland — from plotting to assassinate President Elect Trump, to attempting to kidnap American citizens from the Port of New York.
The threat that Tehran poses to the world is, by itself, reason enough to support Israeli military action to cripple its nuclear and missile infrastructure. But more importantly, American freedom fighters hope the Israeli’s can partner with Iranian Freedom Fighters to bring down the radical Islamic regime.
Netanyahu plans to do more than simply degrade Iran’s military capabilities. In a three-minute video posted on social media, Netanyahu expressed solidarity with the Iranian freedom fighters. “When Iran is finally free, and that moment will come a lot sooner than people think, everything will be different.”
We await and hope the Israelis will free the Iranian people…
…Because freedom is always under siege.
